The reverse is a mirror image of obverse. The raised soldered catch, semi-rounded vertical pin and
soldered catch all intact to reverse. The reverse is well marked with embossed, third pattern inscription,
(circa 1939-44), "Eigentum der Obersten S.A. Fuhrung", (Property of the SA Supreme Command).
The reverse also has embossed manufacturers name and location, "Fechler, Bernsbach/SA.".

More Information:
This tab was for the Forergarde which was the personal Guard of Vidkun Quisling,
who was the leader of the puppet Norwegian government during World War II
It was founded in 1942 and consisted of 150 men, personally selected by Quisling
from members of the Hird, the paramilitary wing of the fascist Nasjonal Samling party (NS).
Over time, the unit grew to 250-300 men.
They also recruited veterans from the Volunteer Norwegian Legion and SS-Polizei-Battalion 506.

This sleeve diamond was used to indicate organizational assignment for personnel
of the SS Wirtschafts Verwaltungshauptamt (Economic and Administration Main Office)
assigned to the Gruppe Bauwesen (Construction Group). This group included architects
who designed SS buildings. The front of this sleeve diamond depicts a compass and an
eight-pointed star, embroidered in silver wire thread on a Buckrum backing & black SS wool.

Machine embroidered national eagle with outstretched wings,.
clutching a wreathed, canted, swastika in its talons in silver/grey rayon threads,
positioned above a national tri-color cockade with a black outer circle encompassing
a white inner circle and a red center dot, on a loosely woven, brownish/field-grey rayon
trapezoidal base. The outer edge of the trapezoidal base has reinforcement stitching
in the same silver/grey threads as the eagle.

Overall in MINT condition. These eagles were used for a Waffenrock parade jackets,
or to upgrade a regular Field Blouse. This example with green backing is one of 3 types,

Machine woven, Bahnschutzepolizei pattern, national eagle in silver wire threads
on a cut-out woven blue/grey rayon base. Approximate size is 70mm x 30mm. Removed for a cap.
Very Hard to find.
BACKGROUND:
The Bahnschutzepolizei, (Railway Protection Police), were established, by the RBD in 1933
with volunteers from the SA and SS, to protect the railway network.
Originally they wore a navy blue uniform, but this was eventually changed to blue/grey circa 1941.
Reichshahn worker collar tab constructed of soft black felt, un-bordered.
The obverse bears a stamped metal alloy winged wheel and a mobile swastika,
the reverse has Buckram backing & the attachment prongs of the obverse insignia,
measuring 74.03 mm (l) x 40.90 mm (w), very fine / Mint Cond.
