This is a Wehrmacht Heer Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanteriesturmabzeichen in Silber). This is a mid-war Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. It is constructed of silvered fine zinc, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle. The reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback. The reverse is marked with a solid "R.S." for "Rudolf Souval, Wien" The badge measures 47 mm (w) by 64 mm (h) and weighs 30 grams. Sadly, someone has broken the retaining hook off on the reverse, but remains in very fine

It is constructed of silvered fine zinc, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle. This is an Armed Forces 1939 Black Wound Badge, Third Class (Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Schwarz). This is the 1939 pattern, die stamped, steel construction, hollow backed badge with a black wash. The badge is in the form of an embossed, vertically oval, laurel leaf wreath encompassing an embossed profile of an M35 pattern helmet with a high relief, canted, swastika to the center, superimposed over crossed swords on a pebbled base field. Complete with original hinge, pin and catch assembly. This badge is late war and retains almost all of its' black wash, except on the raised swastika. There is no maker mark. Very clean!

World War II German Crimean Shield Krimschild with Award Document for Gustav Havel of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Heavy Howitzer Regiment, 1st Panzerarmee (Army Group South). The Document is signed by the Chief of the General Staff of 1st Panzerarmee, Generalmajor Ernst-Felix F?ckenstedt. The reverse is blank, and clean. These two 1942 ORIGINAL items were acquired together. The Krimschild is a less common, 3 - prong (as opposed to the more common 4 - prong) type. The Bronze wash is about all worn away, exposing the Zinc beneath. It's mounted on dark cloth (black that has faded a bit?), likely from a black panzer tunic.
