This is the Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge, Cloth Version (Luftwaffe Flugzeugfuhrerabzeichen maschinengestickte Stoffausfuhrung). This pilot's badge is the so-called "four color" badge. It is constructed of different tones of gray and off-white machine embroidery on a Luftwaffe bluish-gray wool backer. It is padded with a gray fabric backing on the reverse. It measures 70 mm (w) by 68 mm (h). It was unissued and in mint condition.

This is a Wehrmacht Heer Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanteriesturmabzeichen in Silber). This is a mid-war (semi-hollow type) zinc Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. It is constructed of silvered fine zinc, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k rifle with the bayonet attached and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle. The reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pin-back meeting a somewhat deformed wire catch. There is no maker's mark. The badge measures 47 mm (w) by 62 mm (h). This is a Wehrmacht Heer General Assault Badge (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen Feinzink versilber). It is die struck, solid backed, fine zinc construction award with a silver finish. The nicely detailed badge features a cutout, high relief Wehrmacht styled eagle with down-swept wings positioned above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, and encompassed by an embossed, vertically oval, oak-leaf wreath. The reverse is complete with pin and catch assembly. No maker mark. Overall, a nice battle worn badge with 90% of the finish present.

This is a Kriegsmarine Mine Sweepers, Sub-Chasers, & Escort Vessels War Badge 1940 (Minensucher-Kriegsabzeichen - R.K.). It is a Type badge in silver in excellent condition and marked "R.K." for "Rudolf A. Karnethz & Sohn, Gablonz." I purchased it in 1998 from a private collector. Forman's Guide to Third Reich German Awards & Documents, Volume 2" currently values this Badge at $175.00-250.00 (page 17).

Both the case and Iron Cross are in very good+ condition. All original, three piece construction, magnetic. The pin is marked "L/58" for maker Glaser & Sohne of Dresden. The company is still operating today as a mint in Dresden.
This is an exceptional set. The high quality magnetic Iron Cross is marked "KO" for Konigliches Muenzamt Orden Berlin. (Royal Mint Order Berlin) The case is in exceptional condition with only one small scuff mark. The very rare issue box is in remarkable condition considering its age.. One side has been taped and one flap is missing. Named to a Lt. Kahler and unit marked.

WWII German Army Gold Tank Destruction badge. Constructed of a flat gold bullion wire strip with black cotton woven bands along the top and bottom borders. Badge is mounted on an OD green wool backing on the reverse side. The tank and the back plate are stamped steel magnetic construction. This was awarded to a German soldier for single handedly knocking out five Russian tanks. It was to have been worn on the upper left sleeve of the uniform. Textbook example, in slightly worn condition. A scarce and desirable badge.
