A typical Japanese WWII silk "Meat Ball" flag with fancy reinforced corners. 36" x 27". Very clean. It does have a small amount of fraying close to one corner.

YEAR" CORRESPONDS TO 1938. MARKING THE YEAR THIS AWARD WAS GIVEN. I just bought a collection a while back. There are a lot of Japanese related items. I located prices other sellers are asking, and I slashed the total by "A LOT!" to move this stuff out. The total for the pieces I could locate came to over $385, with a bunch of things unidentified and not counted. The rosettes for medals , the enameled Wound badge, The Hat Badge, The Naval stickpin, The medal on the ribbon and several other items were found. A couple guys who have some Japanese helped me, but I want it all gone so, $135 buys it all. That is: Buy the enamel wound badge at web price, and the rest is free! (I think the gold bar, is post war)
