Absolutely original WW2 artifact.
I acquired this M-38 on a basement shelf a few years ago.
I found these old photos and re-edited and enhanced them, a couple weeks ago.
This helmet Sat on the shelf exactly as in the fourth photo.
When I eventually turned it over. all sorts of dust and accumulated loose grime fell out.
The fourth picture is how I found sitting on its top. I brought it home and having blown most of the dust off , got this untouched picture.
The rest of these pics show various details as I carefully tried to capture various aspects (I have many other pictures now.)
The Leather Straps are intact and complete.
Liner is intact and pretty stiff. Obviously it was not handled by idiots because it is not all ripped up as so very many originals are.
All leather is in great shape for careful displaying.
The Paint is the factory original finish and the majority of the Luft Eagle decal is present.
The entire artifact is in the same condition overall. It was obv
Under full disclosure 1st and foremost I will state that I am not a helmet collector. Therefore use your own judgement and expertise in this field to come to your own conclusion regarding this piece. This helmet is sold as is w/o return or refund. Please allow the photos to be your best description. Will consider best offer and or best trade for WW2 KL Textiles. Listing tonight what appears to be an original authentic WW2 German SS Allgermeine double decal black helmet. The decals I am told is what always comes into question with Nazi helmets. I was told that it is a period 1935. The lining buttons are alittle loose. The lining and chin strap were very dry so I have been applying alittle leather conditioner. The inner helmet metal was very dusty which was cleaned with a damp rag.. This piece origin was bought overseas no other history or provenance is known. There is some type of manufacturer number reverse backside upper lip of helmet. The helmet size is for a very small soldier.
It is possible I can match your helmets condition to a strap.
These are all a complete original war era set in serviceable condition. I even have a couple dead mint ones. .
"Soft Helmet Parts" Almost never found unbroken, in the wild!

WW 2 M34 Steel Nazi Police Helmet-Great Condition-the pictures give you an excellent idea on the quality of this helmet. Purchased it here on GMC a few years back. It's time to cash in my collection and downsize. Questions welcomed. Pay Pal Family and Friends best way to pay me. Shipping to US estimated at $25.00. Insurance added if you wish
This is an original WWII German Model 40 (stamped air hole and crimped or hammered edge) single decal. camo, chicken wire helmet. Black leather chinstrap and nine-finger liner. It is pretty and has a beautiful patina. I can't prove it but the U.S. Army vet I bought this from told me he picked it up in Normandy. Priority shipping by USPS is free to any address in the lower 48 states. Payment by Money Order only. Send payment to Jemison Beshears, 43 Melrose Ave., San Francisco, CA 94131. I have owned this helmet for 25 years. Would consider partial trade IF it is WWII U-boat related (photo album, clock, tauchretter, etc.)
This is likely the rarest of WWI German steel helmets you can collect from the Imperial German combat helmets era. It is of course 100% original in all ways. It has been in my extensive collection for many years. I have had hundreds of WWI German helmets over the years and this one is right at the top of the heap and a museum quality piece throughout. The vivid geometric camouflage pattern is simply outstanding. It's an 'ET64' like 'ALL' authentic model 1918 Ear-Cut-Out helmets should be. The complete liner and strap system special to M18 models is beautifully intact and supple. There are no dings, dents or corrosion as you can see from the photos attached. Email with questions. *Bank Transfers preferred! Checks or money orders need to clear prior to shipment. PayPal accepted when paid to the seller as a 'family & friend' payment option. *U.S. SHIPMENTS ONLY. (please contact for any exception requests).

M35 Heer with decal locations still visible in the paint. Original liner with minor cracking and chinstrap partly missing as seen in photo with damage circled. Name written on liner is Frank Bayer who could be the soldier who wore it or the GI who picked it up as a souvenir.
I am selling off my nearly forty year collection of 1,600+ pieces of mixed Third Reich Militaria. I will do my best to inform you of the provenance of each piece if I know it. Some pieces will not be guaranteed because there are simply too many fakes. If they ARE NOT guaranteed it will be stated in the description.
This is the Luftschutz M38 "Gladiator" Helmet (Reichsluftschutzbund (RLB) Stahlhelm fur einen Angehorigen der Fabrikwache). It is constructed in three pieces, stamped, sheet steel helmet which retains most of its original, smooth, dark satin blue paint. The front center of the helmet has a Luftschutz emblem decal with about 85% remaining (there is some loss of the bottom section of the swastika). The black detailed, silver decal features stylized spread wings with a central oak-leaf sprig and a canted swastika positioned below a scripted banner, "Luftschutz." The helmet has two groups of seven "salt & pepper" ventilation holes to either side of the crown. All three
All original WWII German Army (Heer) tropical DAK second pattern pith helmet. Very good unissued condition. Complete with chinstrap. The soft leather sweat band has maker?s mark JHS on the outside with the size 58 and the date 1942 on its underside. The helmet shields are in perfect condition. There are a few hardly noticeable moth nips on the outside covering while the green underside has several. The red dome liner is perfect. The gray leather trim around the edge of the body has several abrasions, which is not unusual for these helmets. Overall, a very nice unissued example with some storage wear. Buyer pays actual shipping cost via USPS.
have 6 Luftschutz helmets, all mottos clearly readable and they have liners. Some have chinstraps. Have 5 coal black ones (as shown in the example) and 1 medium blue helmet. When I was a kid, I used to ride around on a bike with my Luftschutz helmet (not one of these) Kids in the neighborhood would comment, Hotsy totsi, we got a New Nazi. All gladiator style helmets, good for display in a collection. Cost is per helmet.
Nice clean US M1 Combat helmet with netting. This is a fixed bale front seam helmet with Khaki chinstrap. It has a Westinghouse liner with Khaki webbing. Has GI's serial number on rim of liner. I replaced chinstrap as original was in pieces.
I have various sizes of complete original WW2 German combat helmet steel wartime liner frames, complete with the inner spring band.
$55 each while they last. Or you can buy the Chinese made fake junk everybody is selling, instead of these 80 year old frames I have.
I also have numerous Liner frames without the inner band for $30 each.

Nothing has been added or replaced. No cleaning or restoration was undertaken. That is up to the new owner.
Frame assembly is marked , leather is still attached with the original brads.
Chinstrap Hinges are intact.
A nice well used example likely from a early or pre- war helmet.
Minor age, but not fragile or damaged.
Just moderate genuine age and use.
This would clean to full excellent, and lighten up in color, as there is lanolin on the surfaces.
It appears to be maker marked but my old eyes cannot make it out .
A rare type. This M-35 double decal was brought in and serviced for wartime use after France. It received a thick matte field grey repaint and the national colors shield was also separately carefully concealed at a later time.
Just a couple very minor chips to the eagle decal, which rates about 97% condition.
The shell size is a 60 and the chinstrap is well marked. The liner is also in almost mint condition.
An exceptional example of this type.
You will wait years to find another in this condition, with all the features undamaged.
My crisp clear photos show everything clearly.
This is my original WW2 nazi M-35 single decal helmet.
This helmet has some minor light surface wear and normal uncleaned patina intact. No dents or notable damage.
The original leather chin strap is intact and attached.
The decal is very nice deep gold toned color and nearly 95% intact, which is rare for KM combat Helmets.
The interior is in fine condition The maker SE62 code is for Sachsische Emailler--Stanzewerke and size 62.
Very nice leather liner on the interior.
All guaranteed original and authentic from WW2. A very rare and excellent collectible helmet.
My helmet's heat lot number is 4846.
The SE company made very few KM helmets.
The Navy was the smallest service, and had and had a service demand for very few helmets at all !
Read these two articles and you will know more about this exact rare variation by SE company.

GNR History:
The Italian National Republican Guard (Guardia Nazionale Repubblicana, or GNR) was a gendarmerie force of the Italian Social Republic created by decree on December 8, 1943, replacing the Carabinieri and the National Security Volunteer Militia (MVSN), or BlackShirts.
The GNR included former Carabinieri, MVSN militiamen, police officers, and members of the Italian African Police (PAI). While being an autonomous armed force before August 1944, on August 15, 1944, the National Republican Guard became a part of the army of the Italian Social Republic. However, it continued carrying out security tasks behind the lines and provided aid to German forces. On August 21, 1944 Benito Mussolini assumed direct command. On Augu
