This is a NSDAP Membership Enamel Badge M1/158 (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NSDAP) - Mitgliedsabzeichen fruhe emaillierte Ausfuhrung). This is the standard issue membership badge awarded to all personnel on acceptance as an official party member. The size is 23 mm in diameter, die struck alloy badge NSDAP membership badge with multicolored enamel work. Badge features a translucent red, circular outer border with embossed silvered script, "NATIONAL-SOZIALISTICHE-D.A.P.," encompassing a white enamel field with canted black enamel swastika. Enamel work is fully intact and a pebbled field is visible below the translucent red enameled outer border. Reverse with embossed RZM logo and manufacturers code, "M1/158" for "Karl Pichl, Innsbruck

This tinnie is for the district day for Hesselberg (1939); in silvered cast zinc, vertical pin-back; marker marked "RZM M 9/12, C. BALMBERGER, NURNBERG" on the reverse; measuring 48 mm x 36 mm; there is some oxidation to the reverse, but still in excellent condition.
