Don't be fooled. It's easy to build a site that makes you look like a big time dealer. Just load it up with pics of rare militaria that you don't own and then mark it all "sold". The collectors will think you're a real player and be so impressed they'll keep coming back to see your latest treasure... Oops! Just missed out on that one too! We don't want our site to be like that. No dealer gets a lot of "rare" items. Why? Because they are rare. Try not to be too impressed by what you could "almost" buy. And please delete your ads when the items are sold.

1937 George Vanderbilt Cup Race (Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500) Souvenir Race Car Pinback Button 1-3/4" Rare. GREAT CONDITION! 1937 George Vanderbilt Cup Race Souvenir Race Car Pinback. The race was held on July 5th 1937. Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany and the United States had their best drivers and cars to race in a 300 mile dirt track competition in Roosevelt Raceway in Long Island. The Vanderbilt Cup was the first major trophy in American auto racing. An international event, it was founded by William Kissam Vanderbilt II in 1904. There were no races in 1907, 1913, and 1917-1935. The Vanderbilt Cup was not held again until 1936 when William Kissam Vanderbilt II's nephew, George Washington Vanderbilt III picked up the cause and sponsored a 300-mile (480 km) race at the new facilities at Roosevelt Raceway. Once again, the Europeans were enticed by the substantial prize money and Scuderia Ferrari entered three Alfa Romeo racers. A lack of American competition and a less-tha

Original Late 1950's Japanese (I assume) Made Grayback Class Submarine Crew Patch. NOT A REPLICA. USS Grayback (SSG-574) The USS Grayback (SS/SSG/APSS/LPSS-574), the lead ship of her class of submarine, was the second ship of the United States Navy to be named for the grayback, a small herring of great commercial importance in the Great Lakes. Her keel was laid down on 1 July 1954 by the Mare Island Naval Shipyard of Vallejo, California. She was launched on 2 July 1957 sponsored by Mrs. John A. Moore, widow of the last skipper of the WW2 USS Grayback (SS-208) and commissioned at Mare Island on 7 March 1958 with Lieutenant Commander Hugh G. Nott in command. Grayback was initially designated as an attack submarine, but was converted to a Regulus guided missile submarine (SSG-574) in 1958. These submarines carried the primitive short-lived Regulus cruise missiles that were quickly phased out by Polaris SLBMs. They were the sole class designed specifically to carry the Regulus mis

15 views including the times I have looked at it! In 5 years running here. Not Nazi and no swastikas, so of course though extremely rare (to the point of being unique to the market), there will be zero serious interest. I have to laugh. Still it never hurts to try and educate ....... Construction of the USS Grayback (SS-574) was authorized in 1953. Only 2 ships were built in this class, and their deployment (with Regulus Missiles!, ) was a very short years! These patches are from the short missile related life of the first boat of that class. Only the officers, and any crew who bought in on this custom order, would have even received any of these, and sailors most likely would not spend their pay on ship's patches. The keel was laid 1 July 1954 Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Vallejo, California and launched 2 July 1954 (Sponsored by Mrs. John J. Moore, widow of the last CO of the first Grayback) and commissioned 7 March 1958. The Grayb

Large Size Post WW2 - 1950's 100% Original and rare Naval aerial recon Photography flying jacket patch. These guys must have been a small outfit as I can find zero reference to them, or their parent units. All I discovered is that there was a base located where the WW2 Japanese airstrip was on Okinawa during the war. It is likely they flew out of that base. What we do know is that the base was Naval Air Facility Okinawa. The Korean War emphasized the need for maintaining a naval presence in Okinawa. On February 15, 1951, the US Naval Facility, Naha, was activated and later became commissioned on April 18. Commander Fleet Activities, Ryukyus was commissioned on March 8, 1957. This insignia looks to be from the 1950's and also seems to be Japanese style construction. I really do not find much of these really old aviation flying jacket insignias. I see the specialists online have amazingly high prices on items like this. I am guessing at a price, based upon age, branch, rarity

Listing today a non military uniform but made for the 100 year Centennial of the United States. Circulation in the 1870s made for a flag bearer or cadet of some sort. This tunic was displayed in a Lowell Massachusetts textile museum before I purchased. The opening is on the side therefore most likely for a female and very small so a child. Heavy use with rips and tears in fragile state and previous moth signs. One of the side sleeve flags is literally hanging on with a thread. Please review all photos and see if this would be good fit for your flag or celebrating America collection. This listing is sold as is as found without return or refund therefore kindly ask any questions before agreeing to purchase. Free USPS Priority mail to the buyer or pickup in Worcester Boston Massachusetts.

Listing tonight a fresh flea market find from an estate in Florida. Description and condition as follows 1 1960s Centennial hand made General tunic in approximately medium size in very good vintage condition. 1 UCV Officers Hat with metal insignia and no lining also in very good condition medium to large size. This ensemble had been displayed for years on a marked 1947 display. The hat had several federally protected bird feathers inside the outer hat band so I turned over the feathers to the local police department who in turned contacted the Fish and Game department and the feathers will be sent to the Colorado data base for endangered Native American artifacts to be given out 1 by 1 to the next Native people in line for a feather. Please ask all questions prior to offering to purchase as this listing is sold as is as found without return or return. USPS Priority Mail free of charge to the buyer or pick up in Worcester Boston Massachusetts. I saved one photo of the hat in original

1938 TICKET to "HITLER'S OPENING NIGHT" Parrish St, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA. 25 cents entitled the bearer to a Deviled Crab, a Whiskey and a Beer! Approximately 4-1/2 x 2-1/2 Inches. I found this among my accumulations of 60+ years (which I'm selling).. That's all I know! Might be interesting to research (especillay for a Wilkes-Barre resident) Don't erase history - learn from it!
