The inner lid has coin check mechanism, and the bottom is marked with the maker's information -- "M. Westermann & Co., G.m.b.H, Neheim-Ruhr 43" with the "WESCO" logo. I'm assuming that "43" was the year of manufacturing of the can. The red lacquer finish is about 99% intact. The can is in great condition with just a couple of minor dents and dings. This is the DAF Reichsnahrstand Badge at Gauappell Halle-Merseburg June 4-6 Tinnie (Gauappell 4.-6. Juni Halle-Merseburg Veranstaltungsabzeichen). This tinnie is constructed of a lacquered steel, measuring 32 by 50 mm. The reverse has a soldered pin. The badge has the newly introduced 1936 party eagle which explains why the badge has no date, the art deco design symbolizes the industrial and agricultural strength of Germany under the wings of National Socialism. There is a very small, stylized "He" to the right front which is apparently the initials of the designer. As to condition, this tinnie is almost mint condition.
